Frequently Asked Questions

.

What is the process for remotely switching over to you?

After filling in and submitting our sign up form we will validate your information. We will determine if there are any actions required by you once the remote switch has been completed. If the previous internet provider you are remotely switching from used IPoE/Dynamic IP/DHPC as their internet settings then there will be zero action required after the remote switch is completed and your Home Router will automatically connect to our network. If the previous internet provider you are remotely switching from used PPPoE as their internet settings then you will have to login to your Home Router after the remote switch has been completed and change the internet settings from PPPoE to IPoE/Dynamic IP/DHCP to connect to our network. Remote switches are completed on business days. We advise customers to submit their sign up form a day before they want to be remotely switched to our network.

I thought all NBN internet providers were the same as one another?

This is a common misconception. The NBN network is what we refer to as an 'access network'. Basically the NBN network is a cable from your house to your states capital city. After this point it is up to your internet provider to route your traffic to the rest of the world. The internet spans the whole world using terrestrial and subsea cables. We make sure to pick all of the shortest cables to provide the quickest ping to game servers around the world.

How do you provide the quickest ping to game servers?

Game servers are hosted in different Australian states and even different countries. We have made sure to pick all of the shortest cables to Australian states and countries where game servers are hosted. This is how we are able to provide the quickest ping to game servers. Other internet providers will just pick the cheapest cables whereas we have made sure to go out our way to pick the shortest cables.

How do you provide zero lag?

We make sure to prioritise game traffic over all other traffic. This is how we are able to provide zero lag in-game. Other internet providers won't prioritise game traffic and if there is congestion on their network it will either drop the game traffic or add ping to the game traffic.

How do you provide zero packet loss?

We make sure to prioritise game traffic over all other traffic. This is how we are able to provide zero packet loss in-game. Other internet providers won't prioritise game traffic and if there is congestion on their network it will either drop the game traffic or add ping to the game traffic.

Do any other internet providers use the shortest paths and prioritise game traffic?

No. We are the only internet provider that uses the shortest paths and prioritises game traffic. This makes us the best internet provider for gaming.

Do higher download speeds make my internet better for gaming?

The short answer is no. While playing a game you use a very small amount of download and upload traffic. The most important things for a better experience while gaming are ping, lag, and packet loss. We provide the quickest ping by using the shortest paths to game servers. We provider zero lag and zero packet loss by prioritising game traffic over all other traffic.

How do streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Stan, Youtube, and more) perform with you?

Even though we prioritise game traffic, streaming services are not impacted by doing this. Streaming services don't get stuck buffering with us. Make sure to pick an internet plan with enough download to service your household. We recommend 5Mbps of download for each individual in your house. For example, if there are 5 people in your house then we recommend a minimum of 25Mbps download speed.
